The Problem with Travel Recommendations
Think about the last time you planned a trip. You probably looked online for recommendations. Now ask yourself, were they making recommendations specifically for you or were they just telling you the latest trending hot spot?
What Most Travel Outlets Missed
Search engines tell you all of the places everyone else is searching. Traditional social media just shows you all of the posts that got a lot of likes, but that doesn’t mean that a destination is right for you.
Every Traveler is Unique
The truth is, most outlets treat travelers like we’re all the same. If everyone else loves it, you’ll love it too. The world is a big place. So why are algorithms funneling us into a handful of places?
A Better Approach to Travel Discovery
You deserve more than cookie-cutter experiences and generic travel recommendations. Join a community that puts your style at the center of discovery for a more intentional, meaningful, and discerning approach to exploring the world.
The Solution
Share your experiences, discover new destinations, and connect with people who travel just like you.
Welcome to TravelingSession.com, the home of Personalized Travel Discovery.
Introducing: Personalized Travel Discovery
Travel should be about the traveler, not the destination.
Most travel platforms start with the destination. We start with you.
At TravelingSession.com, your Travel Style shapes the way you discover the world. Whether you’re into Slow Travel, Nightlife, Solo Travel, Luxury Vacations, Food & Drink, or something completely your own, your preferences become part of the discovery experience.
Our Personalized Travel Ratings give destinations context that a generic 5-star average can’t. Set your Travel Priorities, and see how well a destination actually matches the way you travel.
Because a destination can be great—and still not be great for you.
Find people who travel the way you travel.
A recommendation only means so much without context.
Someone else’s perfect trip might be your idea of a terrible one. That’s the Travel Style Mismatch: two travelers can experience the same place completely differently.
TravelingSession.com connects you with Real Travelers who share your interests, priorities, and Travel Styles. Their experiences give you something more useful than another generic ranking: perspective from someone who travels in the same lane as you.
With searchable Travel Profiles and map-based content discovery, you can explore not just where people travel, but the specific experiences they share along the way.
The best recommendations don’t just tell you where to go.
They help you understand why it might be right for you.
Your travels are a part of your identity.
Your travels say something about you. They shouldn’t disappear into a camera roll or get buried in a social feed.
TravelingSession.com gives your experiences a place to live.
Build your Interactive Travel Profile, map your journey with your Travel Footprint, and showcase the Travel Styles that define how you move through the world. Your profile becomes more than a collection of destinations—it becomes a living record of your travel identity.
You don’t need a bigger audience, you need a better one. One that explores the world the way you do.
That’s Personalized Travel Discovery.
That’s TravelingSession.com.
Discover Travel Through a Different Lens
Map-Based Search
Finding the right travel experience shouldn’t mean scrolling through endless posts or relying on what’s popular.
TravelingSession.com brings a different approach to travel discovery by putting an interactive map at the center of the search experience.
Explore the map, zoom into a destination or region, and discover travel reviews, photos, and videos associated with that area. Then narrow your search further using Travel Ideas and Travel Styles to find experiences that match your interests.
Travel Your Way
Whether you’re looking for Caribbean beaches, local food experiences, nightlife, or somewhere off the beaten path, you can combine where you want to explore with what you want to experience.
The same map-based discovery experience is available on individual Travel Profiles, allowing visitors to explore a creator’s content geographically.
It’s a more personal way to find destinations, experiences, and travelers who share your interests.

Our Story
Our founder, Tony Jefferson, didn’t start TravelingSession.com from a boardroom. He spent 21 years in the U.S. Air Force, living in and exploring the world from bases in Japan, Germany, and Korea.
He saw a clear disconnect. The “must-see” sights were often underwhelming, while the real magic was in the hidden gems- the local restaurant, the quiet viewpoint, the off-the-beaten-path neighborhood – that were impossible to find in a traditional travel guide. He knew the best recommendations didn’t come from algorithms, but from real people with real, shared experiences.
He built TravelingSession.com to solve the problem he lived. It’s a platform designed to connect you with those hidden gems and, more importantly, with the people who can point you to them
